Many months ago Avery saw a guitar at the store where he takes guitar lessons. The super nice guy Roy that manages the place let him play it even though it was one of the more expensive guitars they had for sale. Every Wednesday Avery would go and visit the guitar and play it and give me that look, the one that says, "This is good." I told him it wasn't the money necessarily. He already has a nice red electric guitar and he is able to play Abby's acoustic whenever he chooses. I just didn't want to commit to buying anything else right after Christmas etc.
One day about a month ago I lost my mind and decided to buy the guitar and they let me put it on layaway etc. The next time Avery went to play the guitar it was still there but it had a sold sign on it. He was crushed. Some fool had bought 'HIS' guitar. How could this be? It turned out that the guitar was a limited edition and the company didn't make that many and the ones we found online were being sold for much more than what the music store had asked. Avery didn't stop talking about this development.
I was able to pick it up this week for him. I told him that I had his other guitar restrung so when he opened the case and saw the new one he almost threw it across the room. So excited. It is a great guitar, very fancy looking and has this cool button that turns off one of the pickups so it sounds very different from his other guitar.
Now if I could just get his rock star hair to grow back in faster...............
